Ransom Richardson
Founder Crooked Finger Designs, Lead Engineer
With a background in civil engineering and nearly a decade of consulting experience, Ransom combines technical expertise with a passion for creating reliable, high-performance electrical systems. Ransom’s love of campers and off-grid living is rooted in first-hand knowledge after he spent a year living in his 1986 Volkswagen Westfalia in 2017. This passion led him to start Crooked Finger Designs and dig deeper into custom camper builds and power systems for vans and trailers.
Ransom’s approach to camper electrical systems is rooted in best practices learned from marine power system standards. With years of experience building, troubleshooting, and refining camper electrical systems, Ransom has helped a number of manufacturers of small-to medium campers improve their electrical offerings. Ransom’s expertise helps manufacturers avoid the need for in-house electrical specialists, saving time and resources while improving the safety and quality of their electrical systems.
